Resume

Judith Miné-Hattab is a biophysicist who is passionate about understanding how molecules are organized and move inside cells and how different kind of stresses can alter molecular organization and dynamics. In particular, she is studying how the motions of DNA and proteins change in response to DNA damage or exposure to environmental stress, and the resulting consequences on cells. After her graduation at the Pairs-Saclay University in Fundamental Physics, she obtained her PhD at the Institut Curie in 2008 in the laboratory of Jean-Louis Viovy. She then moved to Biology by joining the laboratory of Pr. Rodney Rothstein at Columbia University (New York) and the laboratory of Xavier Dazacq at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Paris. There she discovered super resolution microscopy, an approach she is still using to decipher biological processes at the single molecule level and celebrate the beauty of cells. In 2014 she joined the laboratory of Angela Taddei (Curie Institut) as a permanent researcher. After obtaining an ATIP-Avenir in 2021, she joined the LCQB (Laboratory of Computational and Quantitative Biology) at the Institute Biology Paris Seine to start her team.
