Resume

Stephanie Daumas is a professor in Neuroscience at Sorbonne University. She co-lead the transdisciplinary team "Neuropharmacology of VGLUTs" with Nicolas Pietrancosta (chemist) in the department Neuroscience Paris Seine. She did her PhD at the Research Centre for Animal Cognition in Toulouse (2001-2004) and then moved to Edinburgh to work with Prof Richard Morris at the Centre for Cognitive and Neural Systems (2005-2009). Her work is aiming at understanding how the glutamatergic systems govern certain aspect of memory, especially in pathological conditions such as addiction, anxiety disorders and pathological aging. Her lab is using various approches form biochemistry to behaviour, and anatomy. Stephanie endorses the scientific direction of the Phenotypic Mouse Core Facility of NPS.
