Postdoctoral position in Neuroscience: role of the GluD1 gene

A postdoctoral position is available in the department Neuroscience Paris-Seine in the Institut de Biologie Paris-Seine (IBPS) under the supervision of Ludovic Tricoire1. One of the focuses of the research team is to understand the role of the delta family of glutamate receptor (GluD) in the synaptic transmission. 

The position will be available starting from October 2017 for a project on the role of GluD1, a gene associated with schizophrenia. Funding is available for 18 months with possible extension. Candidates who will receive their PhD by September 2017 are eligible to apply. 

Applicants should have established expertise in patch-clamp recordings in brain slice. Experience with molecular biology, optogenetics, synaptic plasticity, animal surgery or stereotaxic injections would be an asset.
