Epigenetic and tumorigenicity

The team of Hervé Chneiweiss and Marie-Pierre Junier1 has just shown the key role that the ARNT2 transcription factor plays in the level of aggression of brain tumour cells. This was done by analysing chromatin epigenetic modifications.

These results, obtained in collaboration with the Valrose Institute of Biology, the Pasteur Hospital in Nice and the University Institute of Hematology, were published in Acta Neuropathologica on November 17, 20172.

They were reported as a short note on the CNRS/INSB website and in the CNRS letter En direct des labos.

2. Changes in chromatin state reveal ARNT2 at a node of a tumorigenic transcription factor signature driving glioblastoma cell aggressiveness.
